October 2, 2019 - Court removes Sex Offender Conditions

State Circuit Court granted Mr. Kent's motion challenging sex offender conditions of probation for his client, B.L., and entered an amended order of probation which struck all sex offender conditions. The State had ultimately conceded error in response to Mr. Kent's Rule 3.800(a) sentencing correction motion, which was based on a Double Jeopardy challenge to the conditions. This was a case which had been in litigation for over a decade before Mr. Kent was retained and filed the motion which was ultimately granted.
