May 25, 2019 - Sidley Austin LLP Joins as Pro Bono Co-counsel at Supreme Court

May 25, 2019, internationally recognized Supreme Court practitioners Carter Phillips and Jeffrey Green of Sidley Austin LLP, Washington, DC, agree to sign on as pro bono co-counsel with Mr. Kent on the petition for certiorari in Mr. Kent's client, Michael Faircloth's, case at the Supreme Court. The issue presented is the right to the defense of transient innocent possession of a firearm when charged under 18 U. S. C. Section 922(g), possession of a firearm by a felon. Carter Phillips has had more oral arguments at the Supreme Court than any other private practitioner, over 83 arguments.
