November 24, 2020 - en banc brief filed for Congresswoman Corrine Brown
Former Solicitor General of the United States, Paul D. Clement, who has argued more cases before the United States Supreme Court than any other attorney in history, filed his notice of appearance as co-counsel with Mr. Kent and Mr. McFarland on behalf of our client, former Congresswoman Corrine Brown, and together we filed our en banc brief at the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals for the appeal which has been granted en banc rehearing by the entire Court of Appeals, one of only four such cases out of over six thousand appeals at the Eleventh Circuit this year. Oral argument is set for the week of February 22, 2021. Former Solicitor General Clement will argue on behalf of our client. It is a great privilege and honor to have Mr. Clement on the case. We are also joined by the First Liberty Institute out of Plano, Texas, who came on the case for the petition for rehearing en banc. Six state attorney generals joined together in filing an amicus brief in support of our client's legal argument on appeal.
